Travel grants:

We have received from the National Science Foundation a travel grant to support the travel cost for a limited number of participants to attend MTNS 2002. Priority will be given to graduate students and recent PhD's who will present a paper. Young researchers without a paper and people with no other support will have second priority.

Those who would like to apply for financial support from this grant should send an application by email to

The application should contain a short biographical sketch, (Degrees earned where and when, current and past positions, 5 most important publications) and the application should state if a paper will be presented. The application deadline will be

IMA/PI funds:

This conference is supported in part by the Institute for Mathematics and its Application (IMA) through its Participating Institution (PI) Program. PI members may use IMA/PI funds to support travel of their personnel to this conference.
This means: If you are affiliated with one of the many PI institutions of the IMA, then you should inquire with the representative at YOUR institution if PI funds are available for you to attend MTNS 2002.
